Launching in ROCKTOBER, Rock & Roll Daddy'O is a music experience YouTube Channel + Podcast and community for people who love the songs, artists, stories, gear, records, shows and memories that made music part of our lives.

What is Rock & Roll Daddy'O? It's about the music experience-not a genre. Rock. Blues. Country. Red Dirt. Motown. Old School R&B. And the music that doesn't fit neatly into a category. 

We talk about the artists, the records, the guitars, the gear, the venues, the stories and-most importantly the memories that make the music matter. Because every music fan has a story.

RRD'O is the brainchild of a guy who has had a lifelong love affair with music, going back to making tapes of Grand Funk Railroad's Live Album on his Panasonic cassette recorder while wearing huge Sears and Roebuck over-the-ear headphones in his bedroom "recording studio" and sharing those tapes with friends. Think the movie, Almost Famous and you'll have a vision of the music-loving guy behind the camera and microphone of Rock & Roll Daddy'O, that would be, KW.

YouTube + Podcast is where the music experience ride begins in Rocktober! @RockRollDaddyO YouTube Channel + Podcast will debut in October and most episodes will be 45-60 minutes long with a new episode posted every Thursday. What can subscribers and viewers expect on an episode of RRD'O? Well...we hope it's a show that follows our motto: Experience the Music. 

Expect music from 1960s to today. The common thread isn't a genre, it's the music experience and YOU are part of the experience, just like the lead singer on stage, lead guitarist, drummer, back-up singers, sound guys, roadies and even the people back stage catering the food for bands and crews, without the MUSIC FANS none of what happens on stage or the studio could ever happen.

The hour-long ROCKTOBER debut YouTube show and Podcast will take the viewer or listener on a journey of KW's six decades of Experiencing the Music from his 1st concert as a 10 year-old with his parents and family (Paul Revere & the Raiders) and move through each decade up to today moving to North Texas and recently seeing the great Booker T. Jones, Junior Brown and Ray Wylie Hubbard performing live at Music on Main in Downtown Denison, TX, and the Toadies and Collective Soul performing at Sherman's Hot Summer Nights. KW will also be talking about upcoming live show's he's attending. Next up on KW's concert schedule is the on fire Red Clay Strays in October in Ft. Worth, and then Darius Rucker in December at the Choctaw Grand Theater in Durant, OK. 

Artist Stories - All Access

In the weekly episodes KW will share stories about being backstage with some of the biggest solo artists and bands in Rock and Blues, including stories he's never shared on the air - anywhere. Nope, nothing he shares should get him sued or is under an NDA! 

So Stephen (my friend the late great Stephen Bruton, Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings collaborator) tell me that story again of SRV crashing on your couch in Austin when he was 16 and you woke up in the middle of the night and he was playing your Strat!

Live Show's - The Venues

KW has been to over 300 live shows from the Blues clubs in Chicago and New Orleans to shows at the best venues in the USA including MSG, Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl, and the best concert venue in the world, Red Rocks in Morrison, CO. 

Music Culture - Interviews 

The show will include interviews with personal friends from throughout  the music business, including national and local bands, artists, emerging artists, songwriters, booking agents, tour managers, tour support, publicists and media people. 

Vinyl - Drop the Needle

KW will also be talking about vinyl records, including finding those album gems long forgotten and new releases he's spinning. In fact, every day on  Instagram Rock & Roll Daddy'O shares a 1-minute video from the album he's spinning that day. 

Modern HiFi & Vintage SOL

How about Vintage and Modern HiFi gear? You betcha, KW started his Consumer Electronics career in the late 70s as a sales guy for TEAM Electronics  and talking about HiFi is one of his favorite subjects to talk about, especially Vintage Gear that has SOL.

Guitars - Part of the Music Experience

We'll also be talking about guitars, which is one of KW's favorite subjects these days! KW's guitar collection includes models from Fender, Gibson, Yamaha, PRS and Taylor, including a Gibson acoustic guitar autographed by Whiskey Myers. We'll be talking guitars with the artists and bands and why they choose a specific brand or model, and everyone's favorite 6-string conversation, how'd you get that amazing tone? KW, as he's called by family, friends and  business colleagues has been to over 300 live performances and a member of the Texoma Blues Society based in Denison, TX that is is doing so much to support the Blues and live music in North Texas. 

KW's most recent concert was the outstanding ETX band (his 6th WM show) Whiskey Myers. The Boys from East Palestine, TX have been called too Rock for Country and too Country for Rock. "Wiggy" as they're called by called by deeply loyal fans across the country, may just have the best high energy live show currently on tour across the USA with Southall and the Black Crowes. 

KW also just saw the exciting Sons of Legion Rock & Soul band live in Durant, OK. SOL are not supported by a major record label and one of the hottest indie bands currently on tour across the country. 

The Rock & Roll Daddy'O YouTube + Podcasts "Live Your Story and Experience the Music" concept and name was conceived in 2023 and founded by a lifelong music and HiFi enthusiast. KW's career spans home HiFi and record store management, executive leadership in consumer electronics retail distribution and branding, home audio and portable audio product development.

KW spent several years managing corporate music tour sponsorship programs including Crosby, Stills and Nash, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, Glenn Frey (KW's musical hero) and Joe Walsh Tour, the B.B. King Blues Festival Tour and Chicago Blues Festival. KW also managed multi-million dollar consumer programs in the NFL, NASCAR, PGA and F1 Racing.

After six decades of experiencing music through so many facets of his personal life and business career, along with so many fantastic stories and anecdotes from working inside and around the music industry, KW created the Rock & Roll Daddy’O YouTube Channel + Podcasts to share music experiences together with the next generation-and to also remind those who grew up with it, why they fell in love with music, the artists, bands, their songs and live shows. Music is part of the soundtracks of our lives and one song can take us back to the exact moment in time when a song sang its way into our hearts and lifetime music DNA.
